Referee Assessment Form

Were the laws applied consistently and appropriately i.e. judgement of careless, reckless and excessive force? Was advantage applied appropriately and effectively?

Were the sanctions imposed on players appropriate for the offences committed?

Did the referee convey a sense of authority? Was he firm but fair? Did the referee’s personality influence player behaviour?

Did the referee’s stamina meet the requirements of the game?

Was the referee able to read the game and be in the best position?

Attention to detail; cooperation with assistant referees and fourth official; clarity of decisions; timing; wall management; handling of injuries.
