The Manly Warringah Football Referees Association updates this page based on information it receives from the Manly Warringah Football Association, football clubs and local councils.

Wet Weather
The Northern Beaches council assesses the fields at 3pm on Friday and again early on Saturday and Sunday morning (7am). They will inform the MWFA which fields are closed in the event of wet weather. Even if council leaves a field open, individual clubs may decide to close their fields as well.
The MWFA then determines which games will go ahead based on the fields that are open to maximise the number of games and to ensure that full rounds are completed in an age/division. They will then update Dribl.
If your game is changed or cancelled in any way including field or time, you will receive a notification from Dribl both on your Dribl app and via email.. Please ensure you have Dribl notifications turned on at all times. If you do not receive any notification, please assume that your game is on. If Dribl still displays your game, it means your game is going ahead.
If the game you are refereeing is moved and now clashes with your own playing game, please contact the Appointments Officer on 0420 660 362 asap so that your game can be reappointed to another referee. The appointments officer does not receive these notifications, and cannot always check to ensure that your rescheduled game does not clash with any game you are playing. Appointed referees are expected to officiate on any game they were appointed to regardless of the rescheduled time or location.
