Thank you for your interest in refereeing with the Manly Warringah Football Referees Association (MWFRA).

MWFRA is a community of over 600 dedicated members with a wide range of football experience. Our referees officiate matches from Under 12 through to adult competitions sanctioned by the Manly Warringah Football Association.

If you are interested in becoming a referee in the 2026 season, please complete the form below. Detailed information outlining the requirements and steps involved in becoming a referee can be found HERE.

The Manly Warringah Football Referees Association (MWFRA) conducts entry-level referee courses prior to the commencement of each local football season, typically during February and March.

These courses are officially sanctioned by Football Australia, and participants who successfully complete the program will be awarded the Football Australia Junior Match Official Referee Accreditation.

This accreditation permits referees to be appointed by MWFRA to any officially sanctioned match. Appointments to higher-level fixtures are determined by the referee’s demonstrated technical competence and performance.

Entry-level courses are open to both adults and juniors. Prospective junior referees for the 2026 season must be at least 14 years of age by 31 December 2026 to be eligible to undertake the course.

Please note that this form serves as an Expression of Interest (EOI) only. Applicants who submit an EOI will be notified by email once 2026 course details are finalised, generally toward the end of January.
