MWFA Semi-Final and Grand-Final Procedures

KNOCKOUT SEMIFINALS 

 The four top teams play a single knockout round, the winner of each game will proceed to the Final. The
round will be 1V4 and 2V3.

• In a semi-final game, in the case of goals being equal at the end of normal time, two ten-minute
• periods of extra time are played.
• There is a five-minute break between the end of the game and the start of the first period of extra
• time.
• There is no break between the two periods of extra time. The winner is determined as follows during
• that extra time:

ALL COMPETITION GAMES

• If goals are equal at the end of normal time, the team scoring the first goal in extra time wins and
• the game ceases.
• If there is no goal during the extra time, then a penalty shootout is held to determine the winner.
• 
  

• In a Final when goals are equal at end of normal time there will be NO EXTRA time played.
• In Junior Finals (U12-U21 & W12-W18) & Senior Finals (PLR, ALs, O35s, O45s, W40s) a penalty shootout is held to determine the winner.

NOTE: Mens and Women’s PL will play EXTRA time (two ten-minute periods) if goals are equal at end of
normal time. If goals are equal at completion of extra time a penalty shootout is held to determine the winner
