Thank you for your interest in refereeing with the MWFRA. We are an organisation with over 700 passionate members with a vast range of football experiences, who are responsible for providing referees for U12 to adult matches sanctioned by the Manly Warringah Football Association.

Which type of referee am I?

Junior Referees are referees who are between 14 and 18 years old as at December 31, 2025.

Senior Referees are at least 19 years old on December 31, 2025, and are not otherwise team referees. All referees who turn 18 in 2025 must obtain an employee Working with Children Check from ServiceNSW.

Team Referees are nominated team referees, fulfilling duties as required by the MWFA. Team referee only officiate on Saturday games at 1&3pm, refereeing the game before or after their own playing game if they are the away team. Team referees must be turning 19 in 2025.
